私はstbtt_PackFontRange(...)メソッドを使用してstbtt_PackFontRanges(...)メソッドを使用して切り替えた時点まで、元の〜1行から一度に以下のクラスを変更しました。

バッファを反転します。

packRanges.flip() 

基本的なライブラリがC言語で書かれていても、このラッパーはJavaで書かれ、Javaバッファを使用して基礎となるlibにデータを渡します。したがって、バッファに書き込んだ後では、読み出し操作のために準備するために、flip()が必要です。

読み込み時にLWJGLがbuffer.position()を変更しても問題はありませんが、その位置を開始点として使用します。
